I'm not sure but things started to go weird after the update when explorer's search bar added a button. Even loading on startup takes a long time with the desktop icons turning all white for quite a bit before loading. I've tried turning off windows defender real-time just to see but it doesn't help either. But all are just showing me the spinning thingy just to load a simple page. I've tried edge, chromium, chrome and brave.
Strangely, the web pages are also loading slow. I can instantly feel the lag with each keystroke. Last night things suddenly went bad and now I'm having difficulty working. 2 windows explorers to flip through different files.then a browser with about 4 to 8 tabs open (just websites for research mostly text with some photos or graphics).
I use it for work and about 95%+ of the time all I have open are: Hi, since last night my laptop has been awfully slow.
